Once in Vienna, visiting a fancy Viennese ball is a must! In the end of January, TU has its own ball in Hofburg.

Are your dancing skills a bit rusted? Don't worry, to help you out we will introduce you to the basics of the most popular dances at Viennese balls, namely the Viennese Waltz, and the Quadrille.

Viennese Waltz is a well known pair dance with lots of turning (hope you won't get dizzy) and Quadrille is a group dance, danced at every ball in Vienna at midnight (at TU Ball it is danced again at 3, because people like it so much).
Don't forget to put shoes on, in which you can dance!

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ INFO ABOUT TU BALL ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
As an incoming student, you will get a discounted ticket of 35€ (even cheaper than the normal student ticket)! This discounted ticket you will get only at the ticket booth (not as an online ticket) when mentioning that you're an Erasmus student.

Check all the details at www.tu-ball.at or in the official TU Ball FB event (https://www.facebook.com/events/2086987258025895/).

One important thing to note is the strict dress code: guys in a black (!!) suit with a bow tie (not a tie!) and girls in a long dress (long means to the ground) - and they really are strict about this! So get your outfit with you from home after the Christmas holidays ;)
